TED Talks coming to Vancouver
The world’s foremost thinkers and doers will descend on Vancouver next year for the globally renowned and respected TED Conference.
TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design; Ted.com), a nonprofit known for its dedication to “ideas worth spreading,” celebrates its 30th anniversary next year, and to mark that milestone organizers decided to make a bold move, relocating its annual West Coast conference from Long Beach, Calif., to Vancouver.
In an issued statement, Mayor Gregor Robertson said the move is great news for Vancouver’s tourism industry and validation of Vancouver as a world leader in sustainability and innovation.
